My endless pile

2 John 1

Work was crrazzyyyy. Holy snaps. Literally from 730 to 6, it was non stop work. I didn't get to eat lunch till 4 and had to eat in like 10 minutes. They really need to hire somebody to take some of this workload...this is ridonk...

Every Sunday, I use my google calendar to make sure that my week is planned. Important work stuff, school stuff, personal stuff, etc. But its amazing how things change as the week progresses. I think that this is an excellent lesson on how I should take things one day at a time. Like when I struggle with doing my devotions everyday, or trying to not fall into the same patterns of sin, instead of looking and planning what I am going to do for the coming weeks and the books that I am going to read, etc, I should focus on making sure that I accomplish what I need to for that day. Being a Christian isn't a sprint, but a marathon and everyday I need all the help I can get. We don't binge on food, where we eat a lot for one day and then not eat for a couple of days. God's word should be the same, everyday we need the spiritual food, and just like how breakfast is the most important meal, Bible intake should be in the morning so that throughout the day you can think about it and see the revelations and incite that God has planned to divulge.
I think that one "finger" of the "the hand" from John Macarthurs five points of a Christian's daily life is prayer. For some reason I find it more and more difficult to truly pray with a sincere heart. I think there are so many things going on, and everyday things seem to just pile up higher and higher that I can't get to the point of complete emptiness.
